About to play the new Smash demo, will report back

OK. First, some general notes:

  • Pacing is an in-between of Melee and Brawl. It felt good, but it was hard to tell if a move would kill someone for sure or not.
  • Ledge-grabbing is like in Brawl, very generous
  • You can still air dodge repeatedly
  • Grabbing seems a bit more powerful than in Brawl, but I didn’t test it a lot
  • Framerate was stable on 3DS

Now for some character-specific notes, although there were only a few characters in the demo:

Link: I THINK his two-smash combo now will always work. Like, the first hit does not send people far enough to where you can’t hit them again. I didn’t test this though, it just seemed to be that way in hindsight. His ranged moves seem to start up a bit slower. His smashes seem powerful.

Villager: Overall, seems weak. Near-useless down special. Has amazing vertical and horizontal recovery options, though, and can pit-fall people with down smash. Up smash is powerful, side smash is powerful but slow on startup.

Pikachu: Seems to have been nerfed (thank goodness!). Final Smash is definitely weaker. May have a bit more delay on down special and down smash. Up smash has wider arc. Seems to have been pretty well-balanced.

Megaman: Probably overpowered. Side smash has great range and kill potential. Ranged arials have good harass, mobile neutral A (which seems unique to him) is weak, good charging move and smashes. Attacks are a bit slow to compensate, but he does seem to be more powerful than the others.

That’s it! I’ll probably have more thoughts once I play more. I’m having fun, but there’s only so much to play when there’s 5 characters, one stage, and only 2-minute versus computers (or local competitive) to go off of.

Shoutout to unextraordinary-perspectives, through their noble actions, I am no longer my biggest fan on my activity feed.

Help! I have no idea what you are talking about. But I’m glad whatever I did was positive!

Like I went on my activity thingy and it has your “biggest fans” (sometimes, for some reasons it doesn’t always load) and since I liked posts and then reblogged or reblogged my own posts I was somehow my biggest fan. But then you reblogged a few things and now I am not my biggest fan. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Problems:

  1. I want this story to be written
  2. I don’t want this story to be written by anyone but me
  3. I don’t want to write this story
